9-26-07 -- Birmingham, Ala.-- Technical director Jeff Kizziah prepares the film "American Fork" in the projection booth of the Alabama Theatre on Wednesday. The movie, which is on 35mm film, is one being featured at the theatre for the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in downtown Birmingham this weekend. Each film reel Kizziah receives must be prepared by cleaning the film, framing it and setting cue marks for changing over the reels. Reel-to-reel projectioning is a dying art, Kizziah said.
