"Team Luc Alphand Aventures is going through a bad period. After losing their title sponsor, after a serious crash during the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the serious motorbike accident suffered by Luc Alphand, the team has once again been a victim of bad luck. On Tuesday night, while the team was returning from Budapest and heading to Albi for the next round of the FFSA GT Championship, the team's truck was totally destroyed in a fire. The Corvette C6R, racing in both the FIA GT and the FFSA GT this season, as well as almost all the team's race material, was destroyed. Luckily the drivers were unhurt, although it took the firefighters over two hours to quench the flames.
Despite the fire, Luc Alphand Aventures will be present for the start of the Albi round of the FFSA French GT Championship, with its second Corvette C6R chassis. The drivers Soheil Ayari and Bruno Hernandez are currently leading the Championship."
