Former South African President Nelson Mandela waves to the media as he arrives outside 10 Downing Street, in central London, 28 August 2007, for a meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Mandela is to attend the unveiling Wednesday of a statue in his honour opposite the British parliament. The wraps will be taken off the statue Wednesday and will see the likeness of the 89-year-old Nobel peace prize winner stand alongside the likes of former British prime ministers Winston Churchill and Benjamin Disraeli.
